County Tax Assessor-Collector

The County Tax Assessor-Collector is responsible for collecting property taxes and other fees for the county. They oversee the billing and collection of taxes and make sure that the county has the funds needed for public services like schools and roads. The office also handles motor vehicle registrations and oversees voter registration duties. The Tax Assessor-Collector must ensure that taxes are assessed fairly and collected according to the law. This position is elected for a four-year term.
