County Attorney

The County Attorney is the legal advisor for the county government. They provide legal advice to county officials and represent the county in legal matters, such as lawsuits or contract disputes. The County Attorney also prosecutes certain civil cases, such as those involving child protection or mental health issues. They work to ensure that the county operates within the law and may also help draft local regulations. The County Attorney is elected to a four-year term and must be a licensed attorney.
