I am an attorney licensed in Texas and Louisiana and a former educator. I am currently Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Iowa Colony. Being on city council affords me the opportunity to make policy decisions based on the issues and how they will affect the residents of the city without the blur of party lines. I make my decisions looking at the long-term effects of our policies. As a result, I have consistently shown the vision, experience, and determination to get things done.

The two most pressing issues that I will face in Congress are reproductive rights and healthcare costs. Access to reproductive care is a human right. Reproductive healthcare services include contraception, prenatal care, and safe abortions. We as women must be in control of our own bodies. Many U.S. adults have trouble affording health care costs. The cost of health care can lead some to put off needed care. Additionally, the cost of prescription drugs prevents some people from filling prescriptions. I would build upon the benefits of the Affordable Care Act by providing more funding for premiums, expand Medicaid to reach more working-class adults, and lowering prescription drug costs.
