I have significant experience in law, mediation, investments, and the education and healthcare nonprofit sectors, and the expertise I have developed in my work in these fields makes me uniquely qualified to stand up to Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick and their divisive and harmful politics of fear and hate, and chart a better way forward for all Texans by restoring a women’s right to choose and increasing access to healthcare and our investment in public education and infrastructure.

1) Access to abortion and personal bodily autonomy for Texans
2) Expansion of Medicaid and healthcare.

I will tirelessly fight to remove abortion restrictions and ensure that comprehensive reproductive healthcare is accessible to all so that individuals can make informed decisions about their reproductive health without fear or undue obstacles.

As the husband of a doctor, I have seen firsthand the importance of expanding access to healthcare in Texas. A House coalition of rural Republicans and urban Democrats have fought together to stop vouchers. I know we can build a similar coalition around Medicaid expansion and I will do so in the Senate to increase healthcare for 1.4 million Texans.
