As a professional builder for over 30 years, I'm uniquely qualified to provide insight into the needs of our state’s business and commerce, economic development, and infrastructure. As a graduate of multiple criminal justice citizens academies, I'm aware of the needs our community and law enforcement have regarding public safety. And, my extensive volunteer work within both interfaith communities, and in Klein ISD will help me bring a holistic perspective of diverse experiences and backgrounds.

First, any person running for Texas Senate should be talking about how difficult it is to vote in our state with voter ID laws, restrictions on who can vote by mail, and even pushback on counties who try to make voting easier and more accessible. An election is only fair if it is contested, and all voters are able to cast a ballot. I will work to build bipartisan support to ensure Texans' rights to vote are protected and expanded. Second, our state's legislature needs to build a broad base of support to counteract any attempts to defund our public school system through vouchers or other programs that attempt to take public tax-payer dollars and send them to private schools.
