I am a nurse & community organizer with a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. I have ten years of experience as a bedside nurse.

In 2022, I earned 42% of the Democratic primary election votes, & I never stopped running. If elected, I will continue to demonstrate discipline & dedication.

Since the last campaign, I organized a district-wide legislative agenda with community members & precinct chairs and co-led the Yes on Prop B campaign, which passed with 65% of the vote.

In public health, we choose problems based on 3 factors: how bad the problem is, what resources are available, & what kind of improvement we can make. Using that framework, the two biggest challenges we face are fighting back against conservative extremism & fully funding Texas public schools.

Extremism is a big problem & we must face it head-on. The way to do that is to increase the voter base of leaders fighting for policies that make Texas healthier & safer.

Public education is vital to a Democratic society. The bipartisan resistance to vouchers in the special sessions was great, but the fight is far from over. I will join that fight & work to increase state funding for public schools.
