I've spent decades in the criminal justice system, working as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. My career includes significant time at the Harris County DA's office, where I advanced from line prosecutor to Division Chief. I've supervised over a hundred attorneys, handled diverse cases, and led over 50 jury trials. My colleagues trust my leadership and integrity. Establishing a robust diversion program for misdemeanors and felonies, focusing on rehabilitation and community support.
Revamping probation conditions to emphasize meaningful activities like life skills training and apprenticeships with labor unions, aiding successful reintegration.
Ensuring police arrests are made only with firmly established probable cause to protect rights and promote a fairer justice system

How do you plan to allocate resources within the District Attorney’s office to ensure efficient case management?
To ensure efficient case management, I will:
1. Implement advanced case management protocols for streamlined tracking and reporting. 2.Staffing up in high-volume divisions and ensure specialized training. 3. Allocate resources to support diversion programs and alternative sentencing. 4. Foster collaboration between departments for better resource sharing. 5. Regularly review and adjust resource allocation based on caseload data and performance metrics.
