What training, experience, and characteristics qualify you for this position?
I have 25 years of experience. I have worked for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 2, and I am currently working for Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 5. I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Security Management Degree for Executives from the University of Houston-Downtown. I am a Master Peace Officer and a certified Internal Affairs Supervisor.

What are the two biggest issues facing your precinct and how will you address them?
I believe the two biggest issues facing Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5 is Public Safety (Crime) and Officer Retention.

To address the problem with Public Safety, I will increase patrol presence within the precinct, especially in high crime areas. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and coordinate efforts to combat crime.

I will develop programs to attract new recruits, such as offering career development opportunities and providing more training.
How do you plan to engage with the community to build partnerships and address local concerns related to public safety?
I plan to engage with the community to build partnerships and address local concerns related to public safety within Harris County Precinct 5 using the following methods:
1. Community Meetings
2. Neighborhood Watch Programs
3. Community Policing
4. Public Safety Workshops
5. Youth Programs
6. Social Media
7. Collaborating with Community Leaders

I believe by implementing these strategies, our agency can build strong partnerships with the community and enhance public safety.
