As an HCDE Trustee and President Emeritus, he built seven educational facilities, including Texas’s largest adult learning center and the Fortis Academy, demonstrating his dedication to enhancing education and community programs.

What are the most pressing educational issues in Harris County and how do you plan to develop policies that address them?

The most pressing educational issues in Harris County include inequity, lack of access to quality early childhood education, and school safety. Eric Dick plans to expand funding for underserved schools, support and grow Head Start programs, and enhance safety with active shooter training and mental health support. His goal is to create inclusive, safe, and high-quality educational environments for all students.

How will you allocate resources so that early education, adult education, and special education services will all be successful?

Eric Dick will allocate resources strategically to ensure the success of early, adult, and special education services. He will prioritize funding for Head Start and pre-K initiatives, expand the largest adult learning center in Texas, and continue supporting specialized schools and programs for special education. By targeting investments and fostering partnerships, he ensures all educational services receive necessary resources.
